5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected:

• Active bookings — retained for the duration of your service
• Completed or cancelled bookings — retained for up to 2 years for accounting, dispute resolution, and legal compliance
• Payment records — retained as required by Canadian tax law (minimum 6 years)

After the applicable retention period, your information is securely deleted or anonymised.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss. These include:

• HTTPS encryption on all web pages and API communications
• Payment data handled exclusively by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant
• Restricted access to booking data on a need-to-know basis

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we do our best to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Cookies

Our website uses minimal cookies necessary for the site to function. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that collect personal data. The only third-party scripts loaded on our site are:

• Stripe.js — required to securely process payments
• City of Toronto geocoder — required to look up your address

8. Your Rights (PIPEDA)

Under Canada's PIPEDA, you have the right to:

• Correction — request that inaccurate information be corrected
